The power of imagination makes us infinite. – John Muir
I am an avid hiker, backpacker, and photographer. Blending these hobbies has provided me with more gratitude and solitude (and exercise!) then I have ever imagined.
Living in the Pacific Northwest provides limitless opportunities to practice these skills, in the most amazing environments that you can imagine.
Through some incredibly rewarding volunteering through Search & Rescue, I have attained the survival and navigational skills to take on many types of wilderness areas. This allows me experience the most desired environments and landscapes, and provides me with an opportunity to share these adventures through photography.
The purpose of this blog is to share what I learn on my journey, and to provide others with a resource to learn the basic photography and hiking skills that I have obtained, to help you more fully experience the Pacific Northwest as it is meant to be.
I plan to do this by sharing basic photography tips I have learned, how I prepare for hiking and backpacking trips, and a photo summary of the destinations I visit, in a trail report format that will provide information to others interested in hiking a particular trail that I have done recently.
Thank you for coming along on my journey, I fully intend to make it an enjoyable and educational experience!
